Oct 18 Visiting Tuckerton Seaport

Hi everyone! Today we are taking a trip down the coast to the Jersey Shore in beautiful Ocean County to historic Tuckerton Seaport. As a New Jersey local, I had been wanting to visit this place for years and I finally had the chance to go. I was so intrigued and amazed by all of the enriching history of the region’s nautical past. The seaport is a historic village replica of a 17th century fishing community. The seaport itself was built and established in 2000.

This is the exterior of the seaport lighthouse museum and gift shop. Since it’s the off season and summer is long behind us, business hours are open on the weekends and now on Mondays which was a special treat for me.

The museum offers an abundance of exhibits to learn and discover more about the history of the seaport. Climb up the steps to the top of the lighthouse for incredible panoramic views of the town and seaport. The gift shop offers plenty of souvenir ideas as well.

I was able to visit some of the buildings that were open. During the summer, there is definitely lots of activities for everyone especially for families with young children.

Such a cool spot to see how clams are distributed and sent off to the local fish markets.

And to top off the day, I spent it by the sea. 🌊
